Unclassified!
These
are just thoughts that come to mind from time to time.
They will
remain "unclassified" until they warrant a heading
of their own.
Some of
these notes are experiences I have had, some of them are opinions,
and others are questions.
1. When
I found that my eyes were not working as well. I put it down
to PD. Then I went to have my eyes checked, and found that
I had cataracts forming, in addition to "Blepharitis".
Blepharitis is an inflammation caused I'm told, by bacterial
infection among other things such as allergies, toxins, or
a virus In my case, it causes what I call "floaters",
or a colorless mucus in the eyes, which is constant, and requires
cleaning. As a result, I have increased NAC, VIT C, VIT E,
Beta Carotene, and Alpha Lipoic Acid as well as Bilberry Extract,
and cayenne. Will also increase Milk Thistle in order to increase
glutathione production. I am treating Blepharitis with a salt
water rinse first thing in morning, and periodic rinses with
a weak boric acid solution during the day.
2. I try not to take my vitamins with fiber, because they
bind to the fiber and pass through the body unused. A waste
of money!
3. I wish that I had learned to write with both hands as soon
as I found out that I had PD, if not before, because there
is a 50 / 50 chance that PD will hit your writing hand, sooner
or later. When PD started to affect my writing, it started
in my writing (_self) hand. I went to a Naturpath who gave
me a tbsp of Conium Mac, a homeopathic medicine. Result? Next
morning I could write with my _self hand. However, the left
hand that did not have a tremor, now had one. During the night,
the tremor had switched arms. No one has been able to explain
this to me, and 3 years later I can still write.
4. I have noticed that a lot of men who make the news when
they pass away, mention is often made that they have had both
PD and prostrate cancer. In my case the prostrate started
enlarging at about the same time as the tremors, but I'm not
sure which came first.
5. Somewhere I read that there was a connection between constipation
and getting PD. It's as if a person could often get PD as
a result of being often constipated. However, I can't remember
where I saw it.
6. I don't think it's a good idea to microwave food in a plastic
container, because plastic is a chemical, and may break down
and emit toxic substances into the food.
7. It is important to do all the tricky hard to do chores
when a person is at their best. There all "windows of
opportunity", and one should use them to their best advantage.
For example, "arranging your medications and/or supplements"
before you go to bed at night, provided that is an "ON"
time for you.
** 8. QUESTION! Does anyone know
if there has ever been a study regarding a connection between
PD, and having suffered a SEVERE trauma of any kind earlier
in their lives? It could have been either emotional, physical,
mental, or spiritual!
I have been recently informed that PD
"might" be caused by anesthesia as used for an operation
on a senior citizen. (physical trauma?).
9.
Acupuncture:
Over
the past 4 or 5 years, I have tried every type of acupuncture
that I could find. To see if it would help with my tremors.
None of them worked 4 me!
Finally
I was told that this practice would not help.
During
this time, I tried laser both with and without pad, regular
needle, and electrically connected low voltage needles. While
I have a great respect for Acupuncture, and use it from time
to time to balance my energy meridians, it just does not help
in reducing my tremors.
The Acupressure
Ball however, does help. Especially when sitting watching
TV in the evening. Quite honestly, I am not sure if it really
short circuits the tremors, or just changes the focus of my
mind. It just Works4me.

Plastic Containers
& Microwaves!
The
other day I left some plastic wrap on some meat, turned on
the microwave, set at 2 min, and walked away. Upon returning,
I found that the wrap had almost disintegrated into mush covering
the meat. So I got curious, and went to my computer, typed
in "Plastics & Microwaves".
There
were a number of items there that convinced me that it might
be a good idea to remove the food from the plastic, that it
had either been frozen or purchased in, and defrosted and
cooked in a glass or clay container. We do not know for sure
just what happens, but there appears to be some concerns by
chemists that it could be dangerous to our health. So I am
going to take their suggestion.
NAUSEA
& Hot Flushes
With an
ongoing battle for many years with Acid Reflex, using Tums,Aids,&Mega
zymes among other things,I came across Ginger root capsulls,
and Schweppes Ginger ale, which I was using to fight Hot Flushes
also.
So I made
a ginger drink of my own1 cup of water, I cup of Schweppes,
&2 tbsps of ginger which I sip as desired is great for
me.It helps with both flushes & nausea.
