Shower
Taking
a (Mental) shower, can be done at any time. With or without
water.
It
is done using the Magic of Pretending
!
Suppose
you are having a stressful day. A wonderful way to "leave
it behind", is to go into a shower (if you are able), set
the temperature to your liking, and let the water wash away
all the stress out of your mind, body, and spirit. Even if only
for a little while.
So, lets
start the water running - turn on some relaxing music - and
step into the shower, where you are going to clean all of your
body parts.
As the water
pours down on your scalp, it is cleaning every hair individually,
so just imagine your scalp being washed clean of all debris,
and being relaxed as it is being washed. Inside your head, the
water continues to clean, rinse and relax. Your mind now is
being cleared of all confusion, and your body of all stress.
Imagine
your ears, eyes, mouth, and jaw cleaned and relaxed as the water
cascades down your body. Your skin is getting cleaned at the
same time that your shoulders, chest, abdomen, are being cleaned
at the same time as they are relaxing, both inside and out.
Each of
you will have different "parts" to wash.
Just
think of each "part", and imagine it being washed
and relaxed.
If you have
trouble visualizing, just think of each "part" and
tell it to relax.
So
you don't have a shower?
Pretend
you do!
Imagine
you do!
Remember,
in your own mind, you are a magician!
You
can pretend you can do anything, be anything!
Find
a quiet place, or even go outside in the wind and take a shower.
Try
it!
With
any of these exercises, you can feel free to alter, add, subtract,
whatever you want in order to suit your needs or desires. For
example,any negative emotion, feeling, or memory can be washed
_self out of your being, into the sewer where it belongs. Leaving
you relaxed and at peace with your reality.
It is your choice!
